Office XP Student Ed. and Office Pack

Hello, everyone.

I bought a Tablet PC a couple of days ago and loving every minute of it. However, I'm having a problem installing the Office XP Pack.

I have Office XP Student Edition (just in case that has anything to do with it) and when I click on the Setup program, I get a message stating that the Office XP Pack requires Office XP to be installed.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

I was able to install and activate Office XP successfully and can run Word with no problems.

For the record, I have an Acer C111tci-g.

Thank you, in advance, for any help you can offer.
Gene

Office 2003 doesn't require Office Pack

Hi Gene,

Great ! Welcome to the Tablet PC Community.

What version of Office XP did you purchase? I suspect that it is the Office 2003 version (since you state it was recently purchased). In this case, Office 2003 is already ink enabled. You don't need the Office Pack. Cool eh?

If you have an earlier version of Office XP (before 2003) then you will need to install the Office pack.

Let us know!

Thanks for the Welcome!

heh...you're right, it is Office 2003. I didn't think I had purchased that! doh!

Now...to find out how to pen-enable Office.

So much stuff to learn and setup. I love it!
