Browsers do not work on Gateway cx2620

Just bought a new gateway tablet pc. When I got it home, it was connecting to the internet on IE (that came with windows XP) just fine. A few hours later, it kept stalling out, and not connecting; however, my outlook still downloads email. I suspect it might have to do with Norton Internet Security, which I also installed...but I cannot figure out how to get it working.

I tried installing Firefox (from an SD card) and it will not connect, either. Both wireless and LAN connections in the network view claim to be connected and operating normally.

Anyone have any idea what I should do? System restore has not helped...it stated there were no changes to my computer.

Sounds like a setting in Norton. You may want to temporarily disable the application and see. If the browser works with Norton disabled then go through the settings.

Best of luck.

I can verify that FF DOES work on the CX2620 though. I'm using it now. I just added the geckotip extenension to allow FF to properly signal the tablet when text areas are selected to allow for the TIP icon to pop up...
