Hi all,

I just visited a seller, where I was trying to use a Compaq TC4200. Once before I had already a Tablet in my hands, so I was not a complete beginner :). However I was unable to use this machine. The pen activated even, when it was about 5 cm (2 inches) away from teh screen! I was just unable to write anything on the TIP, since the letters were flowing into each other. At my pervious experience the pen was active only, when it was touching the screen, so I was really "writing" on the glass surface. But on this machine it was impossible.
Is this normal, that the pen is active even at this distance? Does anyone have any experience with this machine? Was this particular machine faulty, or the complete line is acting like this?
