Question Text file is wrapped on my tablet PC but not on Windows 200 PC

I am seriously puzzled and urgently need advice. I am using a Fujistu T4110 with windows XP Tablet PC 2005 SP2 edition and love it... until just now.

At work a TXT file is created that I need to use which has a long string of characters. This is used to send data in to other systems based on a fixed delimited file setting.
example
GLJ 1.319999BEL0170 SIEB FSINSRVCSOWNDIV 200505261

When I open the file in a windows 2000 PC, the file shows correctly as shown above (in Notepad or excel)
When I open the file on my Tablet PC XP 2005 edition , something else happens and suddenly I have a linefeed and it looks like this
GLJ 1.319999BEL0170 SIEB FSINSRVCSOWNDIV
200505261

I am puzzled. This happens in Notepad (word wrap is turned off). this happens in Excel, this happens in Internet Explorer.

Does anyone know what could cause this ? As I am the only Tablet PC user within " my" company // multinational I am not going to get support there. I need help. The text file involved is attached

Thanks in advance
Lennard

When I open your file in notepad (Averatec C3500), the word wrap is on by default. Once I change the setting then the long string is fine.

Since you list all MS products, have you tried textpad (www.textpad.com) to see if this helps?

Using an alternative to MS products did not help

Since I posted on this forum I tried an alternative to MS products as well, being metapad , I also have the problem in this program. I am wondering if windows regional settings can have anything to do with this as my windows 2000 PC runs English American and my Tablet runs Dutch as settings. So far I changed that but did not see any effect on the end results (and yes I rebooted my pc just to be sure)
