Hello, I'm completely computer illiterate so I bought a tablet used and it didn't come with the pen. It's an ECS Transmeta crusoe TM5800 and it doesn't seem to always detect the keyboard and I'd also like to know if you can use any digital pen with it? Did I make a mistake here?

If you truly are completely computer illiterate, to use your words, then I don't think a Tablet PC is right for you. I would say that a TPC actually has a higher level of complexity than a regular PC...

Sure, once you know what you're doing, a tablet offers a nice intuitive way to interact with your computer, but to not know anything about computers and assume that a tablet is not much harder to use than a paper notepad (if that is what you have assumed), would be a big mistake IMHO.
