I have been having trouble with my Windows 98 PC. The Internet was hanging and then cutting me off. I downloaded a number of Virus and Spyware executable and ran them on my PC. Here is the list

CWShredded took overnight to run and when I went to check on where the app was in cleanup my PC had rebooted. When it rebooted ALL of my desktop icons, my program icons, and the drill down icons were set to the MusicMatch icon. I have since uninstalled MusicMatch and tried to restore an old version of the registry. I have not been successful with getting the old icons to show correctly. Even when I try to install any application the icon is automatically set to MusicMatch.

Can you tell me what I can do to fix this problem? I do not want to reinstall Windows 98 because I have some programs on this PC that I downloaded and other programs that I use for my work.
