I have a Stylistic 3500 which recently had an unfortunate accident with a toddler. My first reaction was one of panic and withdrawl. Once the tears stopped, it occured to me that perhaps I could take the remains of a Stylistic 3400 which I had on hand and canibalize it to piece the 3500 back together.
The 3500 originally had an SVGA LCD and corresponding (but now badly cracked) touch panel. I've since removed those both and installed the XGA LCD and panel from a 3400 and am back up and running, however, I am unable to get the calibration right. XP Tablet Edition boots wonderfully, happily breaches 800X600 but the stylus reads off about an inch on the left side. Curiously, at the lower right side of the screen, it's almost perfectly on but gets worse as I approach the opposite corner. When I lowered the resolution to 800X600, I still have the same problem.
When I attempt to recalibrate the pen, upon my first tap on the cross hairs (the upper left) I receive a message which states "not within acceptable limits, use defaults?"
I'm wondering if I should scrap the idea and find the appropriate touch panel and if the new LCD panel may be causing problems. I'm concerned that buying a new touch panel from Fujitsu may be cost prohibitive.
Any thoughts on where I should go from here? Perhaps somebody knows where I can get a reasonably priced touch panel for the 3500?
