M200 Wireless problem

Hi All,

I am currently using Toshiba M200, with wireless network (SMC Wireless Router), but weird enough, everytime my tablet is wake up from the sleep mode, I can't seems to get any IP address anymore.

As I am new to wireless thingie, can anyone enlighten me on this ?

Sorry you are having problems.

What version of the Operating System are you using?
Is there an error report? Would you please post this information.

I am using the Tablet PC 2005. I dun have any error message. It just happened when I woke my PC up from the sleep mode or standby mode

Disable/Enable wireless

Good. Make sure that you defrag the hard drive after you've done the upgrade.

Something similar happens on mine. The best solution is to disable the wireless before hibernation. You will then re-enable after the Tablet PC is "woken up". This will stop the need for the reboot.

Disable/Enable works just about any time

I have been recommending using the Disable/Enable technique for a number of Tablet PC and conventional laptop users who have reported this since updating to XP SP2. I'd say it cures my M205's inability to reacquire an address about 99% of the time.

It's not necessary to do this before you put the Tablet into sleep of hibernation - it works just as well when you've woken the back up and fail to acquire an IP address.
