| U when I mean V Using SP2 RC2 on my new Toshiba M205 When ever I write a V it comes up as a U in Onenote or using TIP. Any suggestions? I have gone back and made sure the V was sharp line/angle and it still comes up as a U |

| Slant left I'm finding that if I slant my letters a little bit (2-3 degrees) then the letter recognition is better. I also find that the faster I am writing then the more the dictionary is correcting intial recognition on letters and will spell correct. I've definitely determined that I'm best to just write away and sloppy as I'd like (and not using block lettering), watching the conversions area more than the end of the pen. Finally, I've been playing with the height of the lettering to determine if it makes a difference. I've been getting many less lowercase and uppercase issues by making sure the first letter of a word is lowercase letter by keeping it smaller than the other letters of the word. Specifically with the u and v letters, try a slight tilt first Next try to enlarge the angle of the straight line so that it is greater than 30 degrees. Let me attach an image for you. ![]()

| Older Document - Tablet PC Training I just ran across this paragraph in an older Tablet PC document and started to laugh. The pen input is a luxury that allows the Tablet PC platform to be extremely practical. Unlike with some other systems, you cannot train this one to recognize your handwriting. In practice, however, the users start writing just a bit more carefully to get better recognition—in other words, the machine trains the user. Sorta the way it feels at first. We want to be timid and shy but eventually we just blast right on through.
