| Toshiba Tecra M7 Series: Video Cards I know that most tablet pc's either come with an integrated video card or a relatively whimpy card from the Nvidia Qaudro NVS series. My tablet has a Core Duo 2 Ghz Processor and 2 gb of ram. You'd think with this hardware that the computer would do moderatly well in the gaming world (im a gamer but I use this tablet for school). I think the biggest bottleneck to my gaming situation is the Nvidia Qaudro NVS 110M that I have. It may have 256mb of graphics memory (that includes the 128mb borrowed from system memory), but I just dont think its up to the task for games like Doom3 or even say World of Warcraft. Hell, even Tron 2.0 doesnt run as well as Id like. So, here's my question: is the fact that its a tablet pc limiting what video cards I can have in it, or are manufacturers putting cheaper cards in the systems to keep the price lower because of the added expense of the tablet functionality? | I recently got done talking with a Toshiba Tech Rep. The reason tablet pcs dont have high performance gpus in them is two fold: 1) marketing: they arent really targeting the high performance gaming market 2) hardware: only certain gpus support the tablet pc functions. Most high end mobile gpus do not. |

| I just wanted to add that the Toshiba specifications for the Tecra M7 include a section on the GPU.
