For Sale: Factory-Sealed Toshiba M200 1.7 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB 7200 RPM HD

Hi, I'm new to this site and forum.

I am selling a brand-new, factory-sealed Toshiba M200 with accessories (see details below). I would like to start flexible negotiation around $3800, which will already save you several hundred dollars over retail sale with taxes.

I checked prices online (toshiba.com, froogle.com, cnet.com) and I encourage you to do the same. The best I found was $4000 - $4200. If you find a better price than what I quoted I'll be happy to consider your best offer.

Here are the details of what I'm selling.

1. Toshiba M200 with:
1.7Ghz Pentium M
1 GB RAM (2 x 512)
60 GB (7200 RPM) HD
2. Advanced Port Replicator III (PA3314U-1PRP)
3. Extra lithium battery for M200 (PA3191U-3BRS)
4. Toshiba 3-in-1 Tablet PC Leather Portfolio

Here is a pic:

Close-ups available on request. All items are still factory-sealed except for the carrying case.

Since this is a lot of money, here are my conditions on the sale:

1. I will only accept payment in one of three forms:
i) While meeting in-person (I live in South Bay, North
California, USA), through money orders or certified
bank check.
ii) Money paid up-front (I won't ship till it clears in the
bank). I am a grad student at a good school, and can
get you references and whatever personal information you
need in order to feel comfortable about this. I am always
nervous when I pay up-front for on-line trades, so I
appreciate that you would be too and will work with you
so that it all works out fine.
iii) Through an escrow service (but I would ask you to pay
the escrow fee). The only escrow service I will accept
is www.escrow.com so that we can both be sure it's
legitimate. I checked, and they charge $100 - $125 for
the service. I would prefer not to use escrow, as it
will take 2-3 weeks longer for me to get the money, and
it will cost you money.

2. Buyer pays shipping if not local. I would prefer to deal locally, and am happy to meet you in person.

3. The items are sold as-is. They are brand new in unsealed factory boxes and have been sitting on my apartment floor since last week. If we meet in person I'll be happy to have you break the seals and power it up before we part ways. If there is a problem (which I have no reason to believe there will be), you will deal with Toshiba or the shipping company directly. If I ship, they become your responsibility once they leave my possession.

As you can see, I would prefer to deal with someone local.

If these conditions seem like they could be okay to you or you'd like to discuss further, please email me. I am ready to ship as soon as payment is arranged. You could have this by the end of the week! And I could get back to research rather than trying to sell this very nice machine that is of no use to me.

Is this sold yet? I don't need the port replicator, extra battery, or leather case. If you are willing to break it up I may be interested. Was just getting ready to order a 1.7 with 512M Ram and 60gig 7200 online in the next few days.
