I replaced my IBM A31 laptop with a HP TC1100 about one month ago. It is a different computing experience. The tablet is lighter. The IBM has a bigger screen. The tablet battery lasts 4hrs, the IBM 1.5. The IBM had a faster processor thought it usually isn't noticeable. The tablet is much lighter.

I use the tablet to take all my notes. I haven't scribbled a paper note since I got it. I rarely convert my scribbles to text as the scribbles are searchable. I use Windows Journal instead of Office OneNote. Why? I find the OneNote interface too cluttered. I hate how it highlights the areas I write in, and it is more difficult to insert space. Journal is more like writing on a traditional notepad. One nice feature of OneNote is organization. It keeps everything readily accessible. I have individual journal files for all my projects clogging my hard drive. Developers: Please add an interface to Journal to aid in organization!

I love the tablet. Would never go back. Now if only our company would go wireless......
