What are the primary differences in the amd, intel, and via processors? Are there any comparison charts for these.

I am looking for a tablet that is under 1,500 and at least has a 1 GHz CPU.

This will be used for VT so it would be used in a government and edu installation.

lol. Never ever buy an AMD for a laptop. They run hella hot.

Good luck finding anything in your price range as the cheapest good one I just find is 900+

As for that homebrew tablet pc you have a link to, be careful. It is probably not desinged well and will be something you will regret buying.

Currently, the Toshiba 3500 is the best out there for people who care about money. You can get it on ebay (where I got mine and I'm so glad!) for $1000-1500. If you will by buying from ebay, get the one from Sharper Photo (Takeoff from the store SharperImage) as they give you a CD-R/DVD external drive, speakers, microphone, and briefcase. Thats the deal I got for $1500 and I am so glad I did. You should so buy it. I'm glad I did
