Hi all I am new to this forum and hoping that someone can help me. I am looking for a suggestion in terms of a 'dumb' tablet pc. Think more like electronic paper. From what I have learned, most products are 20gb+, 700mhz+ etc and function more like pc's. I am looking for a tablet with the following specs (or similar) 1. Large screen size (ie. as close to a 8.5x11 piece of paper as possilbe) 2. Ability to upload information to a central db or personal pc. 3. Wireless capability not important 4. Enough memory to support a simple application (ie. an html or word doc where the user would select numbers from 1 - 10 or choose letters 'a' 'b' 'c' or 'd') 5. Ability to download the application from a pc. (again lets assume a simple html document or word doc) Essentially i want to use this for customer feedback and it would replace a sheet of paper. My budget is in the $400 - $500 CDN range and hope that someone can point me in the right direction - your help is appreciated. Thanks

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...299-2000&Tab=7 Thats as good as your price is going to get. Preety good for anyone you doesnt care at all about anything more than text. Comes with a keyboard that detaches and becomes the case. I thought about buying one of these at one time but I got a Toshiba 3500, but that is out of your price range.

Ebay You didn't specify CPU or disk space. For that price you won't get a TPC, but you can look on Ebay for used Stylistic 2300 with dock or 3400 (maybe with), or even cheaper, a Point. These are either EM or passive digitizers (whcih work with fingers as well as pens). Make sure you get OS CD (probably 98 or NT) with pen drivers. May need a network card. Also Google for these units. Another possibility is the Qbe, but Stylistic/Points are more readily available off-lease from hospitals, etc.

OOPS-didn't notice the CDN-in that price range it'll probably be a ST2300 or Point 510, both with dock and accessories as required.

Oops again-at that price perhaps Point 1600. Also, some Fujitsu notebooks have touch screens-but you seemed to prefer a Tablet form factor.
