Survey System exposes the full inking and handwriting recognition capabilities of the Tablet PC to allow efficient data collection in a questionnaire format.
Version 2.0 extended the 1.1 version based on the needs of Wayne State University, the University of Michigan, the United States Department of Defense, and Gear MX. Version 2.0 adds:

- Streamlined and Configurable Handwriting Recognition
- Post Interview Processing
- Word Processor Type Formatting
- Full support for images as document elements, data types, and drawing backgrounds
- Enhanced Layout Capabilities
- Increased “ease of use”
Beta users of Survey System 2.0 have reported successful experiences performing clinical research and market research. The majority of patients who filled out Survey System’s electronic surveys on a Tablet PC found it easier than filling out paper surveys.
