EmergeCore Seals $2.5M Contract with OzzieNet, of Australia, for IT-100 "IT IN A BOX"

Boise, Idaho - February 07, 2004 /Tablet PC Questions/- Small businesses in Australia have a new technology alternative: On the heels of a U.S. distribution partnership with one of the nation's largest distributors, D&H Distributing, EmergeCore Networks also announced a $2.5 million contract with Australian firm OzzieNet. OzzieNet will also distribute in New Zealand.

EmergeCore is the developer of the award-winning IT-100 network appliance for small business and branch offices. Under the terms of the new contract, OzzieNet is now the exclusive distributor for the IT-100 in Australia and New Zealand. OzzieNet is optimistic that the IT-100 will be an ideal solution for many of the 4,000 small to medium businesses the company currently serves.

"We are approached by hundreds of companies each year to sell products through our Distributor Network, but very few meet our criteria for a premium product," said Svend Schleemann, OzzieNet Managing Director and CEO. "When we saw EmergeCore's 'IT IN A BOX', however, we were so impressed that we actually approached them."

EmergeCore's IT-100 has achieved tremendous sales and market response in the U.S. market, achieving rapid sales, vast press coverage and six industry awards, including the VARBusiness Tech Innovators Award in the Linux category over competitors IBM and Novell.

Dave Brown, CEO of EmergeCore, said, "This contract with OzzieNet is a valuable and significant step in the IT-100's rapid and growing acceptance throughout the world. For small businesses this product is truly a phenomenon."

The IT-100 product combines 20 gigabytes of storage Express Setup, Multiple Domains, Web Server, FTP Server, File Server, Alarms, Proxy Server, NAT, 4 Port Switch, Website Builder, eCommerce, Upgrade, Router, Domain Users, DNS Server, Email Server, DHCP Server, Statistics, Firewall, Wireless Access Point, Backup/Restore and VPN services in a single $1,395 device.

For small to medium-sized businesses (SMB) or branch offices, the IT-100 eliminates the need for costly IT support. Even a non-technical person can set up and manage the IT-100 through the CoreVista Web® browser interface. There's no software installation required.

The GUI windows-like interface of the CoreVista Web software is so simple even a non-technical staff member could set up the network in minutes. The resulting network can support PCs, Macintosh workstations and Unix machines-basically any device with an Ethernet or wireless access point, including laptops, Tablet PCs and PDAs.
