DNA Mobile, a new member of Dilithium Networks Analyzer (DNA) family

Larkspur, CA. — October 04, 2004— Dilithium Networks, a leading provider of wireless multimedia solutions, announced the introduction of DNA Mobile, a new member of Dilithium Networks Analyzer (DNA) family. The new DNA Mobile offers increased flexibility and mobility making it easier for network operators to gather key performance indicators of network statistics related to video telephony across the 3G networks.

The DNA Mobile is pre installed on a high performance tablet PC and supports a variety of wireless and wireline interfaces including 3G data cards and 3G and FOMA handsets. The DNA’s new key performance indicators (KPI) features allow operators to measure and test networks Quality of Service (QoS) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) delivery in the field and lab environments.

“The new mobile format combined with the power of DNA’s industry leading protocol analysis tools increases the effectiveness of troubleshooting in live 3G networks.” said Lee Ellison, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dilithium Networks.

“Mobile operators and equipment vendors who are deploying or maintaining 3G networks can perform walk and drive tests to identify and address service issues which are critical to providing a high quality user experience and the successful uptake of video telephony.”

DNA was the first 3G-324M/H.324M protocol analysis tool on the market and has established itself as the industry reference platform for compliance and interoperability testing of network equipment and terminals. It is already in use by a majority of the 3G operators including Vodafone, H3G, Orange, NTT DoCoMo, China Mobile, KTF, and SK Telecom as well as a majority of network and terminal vendors including Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, NEC, Motorola, Alcatel, Lucent, and Nortel. Operators and OEMs can use the device to test new terminals and minimize the risk of field software upgrades to ensure interoperability, reducing time to market for 3G services and equipment.

DNA conforms to 3G-324M/H.324M protocol as defined by 3GPP, 3GPP2 and FOMA, and based on the ITU-T H.324M protocol that enables conversational multimedia services over wireless networks. DNA provides terminal and network monitoring functions. In terminal mode, DNA can emulate 3G-324M terminals and be used for troubleshooting, protocol analysis, IOT, as well as end-to-end service tuning. In network monitoring mode DNA can be used to sniff the traffic between two 3G-324M terminals, analyze traffic and decode-play the media.

Dilithium Networks Analyzer lost by UPS parcel company

We found a Dilithium Networks Analyzer at a public auction in the UK.
It had been lost in transit and submitted to the auction by international parcel company - UPS.
We contacted Dilithium Networks who were not happy because UPS had only paid them £xx GBP compensation and they claimed it was worth £xx,xxx GBP at the time.
