Electrovaya Receives the 'Technology Award' and the 'Battery Electric Vehicle Award'

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 2004--Electrovaya Inc., (TSX:EFL) (www.electrovaya.com) a world leader in Lithium Ion SuperPolymer(R) battery technology, announces the receipt of the "Technology Award" and the "Battery Electric Vehicle Award" at the Tour de Sol.

In presenting the "Technology Award" to Electrovaya, Dr. Robert Wills, chairperson of the Technical Committee said, "The critical search for the next generation of clean automobile is accelerating.
