Tokyo (JCNN) - Toshiba Corporation (TSE: 6502) introduced December 5 the latest model in the dynabook SS Series of Tablet PCs. The M200 features an acceleration sensor which detects the orientation of the PC to automatically adjust the screen from portrait to landscape mode or vice versa.

Also, thanks to the motion sensor, users can activate a series of applications by lightly shaking the Tablet PC. Its LCD screen is equipped with Toshiba's proprietary Tablet Pen Button technology to allow users to quickly launch selected applications by simply touching the buttons with the tablet pen.

Powered by Intel's 1.4GHz Pentium M processor, the product comes with 512MB of PC2700 DDR SDRAM (max. 2GB), a 60GB hard drive, a 12.1-inch TFT LCD, NVIDIA's GeForce FX Go5200 graphics accelerator, and IEEE802.11b wireless LAN connectivity.

The Windows XP Tablet PC Edition model measures 295 x 249 x 33.2, weighs 2.1kg, and is priced at 381,200 yen ($3,530).
