Michael Gartenberg states in his blog entry titled, Tablet PC RIP? Nope, that story is ALL wrong, Let me be clear. Tablet PC is not going away. Feel free to argue and debate it but it's not going away. Period. Tablet for the foreseeable future will be a superset of computing. Something that is a Notebook Plus.

I love stories and posts like this one. It's similar to playing telephone when you were a kid. You know. Someone says something in your ear and you then say to someone else what you think was said .. and pass it on ... and on .. and on .. and on.. until people near the end don't even know what the story originally said or even who said it.

It's like this:

Original: My father is the best
Ending: Why bother with the rest?

See the difference? Then you understand how perverted my simple question became. Look here now, I asked a question, Name Changes, Is it the Death of the Tablet PC?

I wanted to know. I have made a big investment into this platform and it better not disappear. After asking, again and again, I was finally given some clues.

It seems that the name tablet pc may vanish but the platform will be incorporated into notebooks.

OK, so the Tablet PC name may be dead and not the Tablet PC. Fair enough. I still don't have a fancy name to call this great tool. Hey - you can't have everything but a name might be nice.

In the meantime, I'll stick with calling the Tablet PC a Tablet PC. I'm not giving up and hopefully you will not either.
