This review of the Acer TravelMate C300 is proof that the Tablet PC market is ready to explode; the press is just figuring out that the Tablet PC hits a sweet spot. End-users need this type of power and feature set when they are traveling.

Just one complaint. Why did the authors compare the 1.5 GHz unit to a 1.6 GHz and say it was slow? Huh? At least compare it to another 1.5 GHz unit. Come on.

Equipped with Intel's 1.5-GHz/400-MHz Pentium M processor and the Windows XP Tablet Edition operating system, the C300 earned a PC WorldBench 4 score of 115, only slightly slower than laptops based on the 1.6-GHz/600-MHz Pentium M. Battery life was 5 hours, 9 minutes, one of the longest times we've seen.
