I had a long meeting last week that required me to take down notes and draw all sorts of flowcharts and diagrams. I used Microsoft OneNote 2003 for this task and it was wonderful to use the notebook paradigm interface for that task. I sat there with the tablet in my arm and copied all the notes and pictures down. Afterwards, it was a matter of printing out the pages or sending them to others to look at. There was no need to convert the script to actual text since people can always read my handwriting.
