Before reading this article please realize that Tablet PC Sales are at or above projections. The word sluggish projects the idea that they are less than expected and this is not correct. Instead, the author compares sales of Tablet PCs to notebooks. Sales of Tablet PCs are expected to overtake sales of notebooks in the next few years.

According to Stephen Ballantyne of the New Zealand's National Business Review Tablet PCs improve but sales stay sluggish. "Microsoft's Tablet PC technology has had something of a mixed reception. It would be good to report that sales of tablet devices have overtaken sales of conventional notebook PCs but sadly this probably won't be happening anytime soon.
