According to Mary Jo Foley, "A prototype of a new device — described by sources as a type of hybrid Tablet PC/eBook — has been making its way around the Microsoft Redmond campus, according to sources. The mini-Tablet, which measures about six inches by eight inches and features a digitizer, is just one of a number of new Tablet form factors expected to debut in the coming months."

I have spent the last 4 weeks reading books on my Acer Tablet PC. The PDF is downloaded and 'print captured' into PlanPlus for Windows XP. This allows me to create a dynamic annotated bibliography as well as mark up the documents as I am reading. Additionally, I have Safari Online through InformIT and read books through their service.

Heck, this concept makes sense to me! A HyTab might make reading easier and we could get rid of all of the heavy textbooks students carry.
