Yes, these are at least two common complaints regarding the first generation tablets; faster processing speed is another issue. The second generation tablets are much better with the overall performance and battery life issues. With regards to weight, a three pound slate can feel heavy after awhile but it is better than a full notebook / laptop.

Anyways, that's true. I've been telling LPH that if I don't find a fast Tablet, I won't get one. I'm so used to my desktop's speed that a slow tablet will just make me angry. I guess there are some fast ones now but they weight a ton.
