I use my desktop to edit articles on Geekzone, plus development and testing of system changes in our code before release. I currently have plenty of RAM on this desktop, including around 370GB HDD. I run a couple of virtual machines using Virtual PC, including a Windows Server 2003 and a review copy of Windows Longhorn.

But I wanted a laptop so I could keep writing things even while away from my desktop. Yes, I could use a Pocket PC, but the small screen size (unless of course using the new HP iPAQ hx4700 with its VGA resolution), was limiting for my needs."-- Geekzone
