| Tablet PCs Go to School This is a fun article regarding an elementary class using the tablet pcs. I'm not sure I understand the student who complained about art. | Old school meets computer age This article contains more details regarding this school's use of technology. At this state-of-the-art school, each classroom is designed to share common "discovery pods" outfitted with laptops, digital cameras, LCD projectors, and large interactive "smartboards"; students from junior kindergarten through Grade 8 will be using the new technology for the bulk of their classwork; and, in the Grade 8 classroom, each of the 32 students has been issued his or her own "tablet" PC for use at school and home -- a compact laptop that can be used in traditional typing fashion or by writing notes and drawing diagrams directly onscreen with a stylus.
