The January 12, 2004 edition of Forbes magazine contains a full page ad for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. And on the opposite page, there is a 1/3 column ad.

What do you think of the ad?
It took me three or four passes of the text to figure out why the second sentence stuck out.

The image above the text is a man holding a tablet pc, sketching a series of buildings. This supports the idea that the man had an idea, took out the tablet pc and sketched it out. The ad even matches the target audience for Forbes.

However, I prefer the 1/3 column ad. So many people are confused by the definition of a tablet pc -- it's a notebook silly ! It just has a different name. This is why I love the idea in the 1/3 column ad, which states:

Yeah ! That hits home. Hopefully we'll see more of these types of ads.
