| Who’s afraid of IBM? Gates conceded that first-generation tablet PC hardware are not fast enough, but Microsoft is committed to making it successful, and will release the second version of its software for the device soon. “We’re getting the digitiser price down and developing more applications. If you want an affordable PC, eventually it will be the tablet. We’re working towards it becoming the standard for business computing,” he added. Who’s afraid of IBM?
