| Tablet PC Price Premium Gone Have you noticed, the price premium for notebooks, including Tablet PCs, disappeared with increased availability and the introduction of multiple generation models? A price range at least $5,000 wide still exists for new notebooks, including for Tablet PCs. But that's not a function of a price premium for Tablet PCs. It's a case of fact following theory. So, when should I buy a Tablet PC? If this is a business question, then the answer also follows a theory: buy the one you need when you have a use for it. If you need it when you must pay a premium, and it meets your ROI and GVA criteria, then buy it. If this is question about personal pleasure or for entertainment, then use whatever criteria that seems relevant to you at the time. In either case, consider conventional practice in the PC industry as you decide what Tablet PC to buy. Early buyers pay more for a product than do those purchasing unused, but obsolete products at mass market warehouses and chain stores.
