New to me M1300 - help needed getting configuration right

Help.

I just got my new to me M1300 from eBay.

The pen isn't working, and it seems to me that this is because the reseller who cleaned it up before putting it for sale put Windows XP on it. I know that the tablet PC verson is a superset of XP, but if this is straight XP, I presume the pen extensions arne't there, thus the issue. Am I off base, or on the mark?

Does anyone know if the system restore disks are available anywhere?

Is there anything else I need to do besides get a tablet edition of the OS on here.

FYI: The MS label on the back of the machine has the serial for the Tablet PC edition, so it seems that all I need is the disk.

FYI: I have internet access working, and can use the machine with a keyboard. I presume that the external CD I ordered will work too, so I have multiple avenues to get software on the machine.

Your good advice on restoring this beautiful machine to it's proper pen enabled glory is appreciated.

Tom

Open the Motion Computing "dashboard" and make sure that the pen feature is enabled.

This is found under the programs menu and may be in a Motion Computing folder. Sometimes it also appears in the taskbar if this option is selected.

Check under "My Computer" to verify what operating system (OS) your running.
