Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Photos I've just posted some photos of the X41 on my Web site. I thought some of you would like to get a quick look. I'll be using the Tablet for the next several weeks and writing up a review soon. The direct link is http://thetabletpc.net/reviews-convertibles.htm First thoughts - I'm excited to have it. When loaded with the extended battery, it feels a little heavy, but then, I'm not used to carrying around a Tablet with an attached keyboard. I like the keyboard a lot, but, in a carryover from IBM, there's no Window key. Wireless connected immediately and the fingerprint scanner worked better than almost any other I've tried. More, soon. -- Terri Stratton Microsoft Windows MVP - Tablet PC http://thetabletpc.net http://themediacenterpc.net Microsoft Featured Communities

Re: Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Photos Hi Terri, thanks for the fotos. I've visited my local dealer in Dresden (www.cyberport.de) and they still haven't got the Tablet in their store :-( BTW, it's so lame not to have a Windows key, I use them a lot for fast access to certain commands. Wasn't there a different keystroke as a substitute? Does the device get hot or warm when used for some hours? How long does it work with the extended battery? I had the FSC 4010 back in March and it surprised me with 8-10 hours of battery life with the second battery in the DVD slot. -- Mit besten Gruessen - Best wishes Stefen Niemeyer "terri" <support@thetabletpc.not> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:%23TeuPCBjFHA.3568@tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... > I've just posted some photos of the X41 on my Web site. If this would've had a touchpad, I may very well have taken the plunge. Looks like a great unit other than that though. Course, without the touchpad, it just makes it more likely that I need to buy the new motion and go with a slate this time around. :D -- John D [MVP - Tablet PC]

Re: Lenovo ThinkPad X41 Photos I don't like pointing sticks either. Give me a touchpad any day. I will say, though, that the Lenovo pointer works better than most I've used. It was easy to navigate and the sensitivity of the pointer was a surprise. I was actually getting around as fast, if not faster, as I do with touchpad. -- Terri Stratton Editor / Owner http://thetabletpc.net http://themediacenterpc.net Microsoft Featured Communities Microsoft Windows MVP - Tablet PC "JDThree [MVP]" <john@removeforspam.lakesidenetworks.com> wrote in message news:Omy6$pGjFHA.2916@TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... > On 7/18/2005 10:18:37 PM, "terri" wrote: >>I've just posted some photos of the X41 on my Web site. Dual pane explorer view. For Run, you can make a shortcut on the desktop or quick launch or anywhere, simply by hitting the start button, hovering over the RUN command till it's highlighted, then simply dragging it somewhere. While it's not the perfect solutions, these at least give you single click options to launch what you want, no right clicks or context menus or anything to deal with. The RUN shortcut will show the & sign in front of it - just what happens when it's created. You can simply right click it and rename it to remove that character. -- John D [MVP - Tablet PC]
