Currently seeking a Software Engineer with experience in developing software requirements, code generation and testing embedded software systems. The selected candidate will be involved with developing and testing software for Machinery Control Systems (MCS) and Damage Control Systems (DCS) on existing U.S. Navy surface combatant ships- according to design specifications. Examples of Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Developing and testing machinery control software for shipboard systems
Integrating software into embedded hardware systems
Test integrated software and hardware systems
System installation, testing, and troubleshooting onboard ship
Skills, Abilities, Traits & Education:
BS Electrical or Computer Engineering
2-5 years of experience
Experience in Windows / C++ and Versa modular Euro-card (VME) real time operating system is a definite plus
Knowledge and experience with any of the following will also merit consideration: DOORs, ADA, MS Access, Matlab, VxWorks, PLC, Altia Graphics
Knowledge of CMMI is a definite plus
The position may require up to 25% travel, executing shipboard install and start-up. The candidate must already have or be capable of obtaining a Secret D.O.D. security clearance. Please submit resume and cover letter to: hh@mau.com
