Re: TR3000 help is here!! hello mpate. I don't have a list of accessories (at least not a formal list), but I can tell you that I have hard drives, LCD's, backlight inverters, top and bottom case parts, high capacity batteries, leather carrying cases, 10-key numeric keypads w/ brackets (that hang on the side of the leather case), bluetooth and wifi cards, 1GB CF cards, standholder desk docking stations, power supplies, ect. I have a user manual .pdf that I can e-mail you. PM me if you have any requests or want price quotes.

Re: TR3000 help is here!! I have owned my TR3000 for about two years and like it a lot. The battery doesn't hold a charge but still seems to last about 2 hours. If I let it sit unplugged it bleeds down in about 4-5 days. Is this normal or is it time for a new battery. If it needs a new battery I would like to order your extra capacity battery with enlarged cover. I would also like to upgrade to a larger hard drive but was told by a iTronix tech that the 40 gig HD that came with it is special to take the additional heat and shock. What is your opinion on upgrading to an off-the-shelf 80 or 120 gig HD. Will it be as robust as the 40 gig HD that came with it. The internal speaker volume control on the tablet does not seem to work. Sound is barely audible. Ear phone jack volume works great. Any suggestions? The screen is good but difficult to view outdoors even in a shady area. Are there any upgrades to a brighter, better daylight screen? I have 384MB of memory and would like to increase that to 512 or 1 gb. Do you have directions available for replacing memory and the hard drive? I read you post on the HD replacement and suspect that upgrading the memory when upgrading the HD is the best way to go.

Also, is it possible to upgrade memory past 640m? |

I have not seen a PC133 SoDimm greater than 512MB, and if there was, I'm not sure if it would be supported by the bios. If you find one, please let me know!! Last edited by redly1; 09-24-2007 at 11:25 AM..

Re: TR3000 help is here!! anyone know if there is a "better" wifi-b/g module available? i have a factory wifi and BT module. when I first bought the device a while back (and it was still under warranty), the wifi was extremely difficult to connect with. I have a home wireless network and several other laptops and devices with wifi, that have no problems connecting. however, from the beginning, I had to not only be in the same room, but took many connect attempts to make the connection, whether with or without security enabled. When it came back from RMA, it did seem to connect easier, when in the same room, but when only 30 feet away in the next room where most of my other devices connect easily were. well after discussing with HP tech support (before Itronix/GD), they sent me another module. I swapped them and things were better, but still sub-par, in my opinion. I still had to connect many times before it actually would connect. and then it would disconnect intermittantly, making thing very frustrating. and again, not something that any opf my other wireless devices symptomized. After more tech support calls, and hours of on-hold, they had me even switch antennae connections on the BT and wifi modules, as they might have been connected incorrectly when they had it last time. well, the story continues... now I can connect instantly in the same room, but if I go outside of the room, I get about 50% chance of not connecting. going to the next room, it is still intermittent. Since it now connects, tech support has no more help for me. and since then, I have added a wired connections to where I want to use it. so, bringing me to my question - is there a third party wifi module that might somehow be a "stronger" receiver than what it came with? thank you all for any help and advice you might have. One more question, that is completely unrelated (mostly): My BT module seems to work well, especially since any BT device I use will be within a foot or so of the CPU. I am looking for a BT (wireless) keyboard that I can carry with me with the tablet. something, preferably that is "foldable". I have tried the rubber ones that roll up, but they are not good for typing. the hunt-peck method works, but I can use the tablet PC for that. any suggestions? (BTW -the IR/laser display wireless keyboards, while I have not tried with this tablet, I have tried with other systems, will not work for me either. I need some "feedback" from the keys.

Re: TR3000 help is here!! Does the antenna connector on the WLAN card have a nice, shiny, consistent gold finish to it? Or does it look greyish or tarnished? I've replaced alot of antennas and resolved the symptoms you speak of. Unfortunately, the antenna is buried pretty deep in the tablet, so the job is not for the squeamish.

Re: TR3000 help is here!! the new battery is awesome. I made the minor mod to the two docks that I have (one at work, one at home), and sits in there fine. now I can get back in there (now that I am caught up) and check my antennae wire...

Re: TR3000 help is here!! Hi Redly1, Do you still have the battery? I recently got an itronix ix300 whose battery is dead. I did some research and found that ix300 is the same as HP tr3000. So please let me know if you still have the battery available. Thanks, Stephen

Re: TR3000 help is here!! Hello, I no longer have the 7000mAh high capacity battery, but I do have new stock of the regular capacity internal battery and regular capacity piggy back battery. If you need to buy with a credit card, you can do that through my employer. The list price on each of those batteries is $135 each. If you can do paypal or check, I can buy the battery at my cost and sell it to you for $99 each. Let me know how you would like to proceed. Thanks!
