I own a TC 4200 laptop. Does anyone know for certain whether the TC 4200 screen is glass or plastic? My reason for asking is that I'm concerned that constantly writing on the screen will eventually end up scratching it. Someone recommended that I use Plexus Plastic Cleaner to protect the screen, however, all that I have read for Plexus is that its great for plastic. Does anyone know whether applying Plexus to a glass screen (if the TC4200 has a glass screen) would cause any damage?

I have read several reviews on the TC4200 but only one mentioned it had a glass screen, the others were all silent on the matter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The screen will scratch. You can purchase a screen protector for $15 from NuShield or keep the screen clean by using the heat and water from your breath and a clean cotton rag; gently rubbing the screen with the rag after you breathe on it.

As a current tc4200 owner, I can give you my experience. The screen is glass, not plastic. It's very durable. I bought my Tablet in September 2005, and use it a lot. No scratches on my screen yet. I'm also very careful with it; I don't put it in my laptop bag unless the screen is closed, for example.

I wouldn't use a plastic protector on the screen. I would simply keep the screen clean with an alcohol-based glass cleaner, sprayed onto the rag not the screen.

As I live in Central America I will have to obtain the Nushield early next year when I make my next trip to the USA, but in the meantime I will work with the suggestions you have both made.
