ive just bought a tablet pc tc1000 from my friend and there's no hard disk in it and external cd room.can i use laptop hard disk or computer hard disk to be used in that tablet pc?and can i use my computer cd room to be used in that tablet pc?also..what kind of windows should i use on my tablet?please help...

The hard drive is a standard 2.5-inch drive.

CD drives are a bit trickier and so you will want to check a list of drives that boot.

You should have received the Tablet PC OS with the system. Check with your friend for the CD.

If you are on the market to buy a hard drive, try avoiding Hitachi hard drives. I work in IT and we run into a lot of issues with the Hitachi hard drives.
You might want to install XP tablet edition, if not, you can try to install Windows XP Pro and download the drivers from the HP site. Not sure if it will work out as good as the tablet edition, but if you can't find Tablet Edition CD it would be worth a try.

if you have the docking station then a standard laptop cd rom will work. Other than that you can have what ever one you want if its going to be external
