I've got one of the very early Compaq T1000 and it does have a PCMCIA (sorry I'm old!) slot on the side - but it is well hidden! Directly next to the two USB connectors and above the CF slot there is a black strip. There is a small (5mm) square button here, which when pressed will eject the dummy PCMCIA slot protector card. I have used this slot for an external floppy drive and can confirm that it's fully functional! :-) Chat soon. |
