| Please people I need your help Hi, First of all lemme say I just love this forum!!I need your help guys to make a choice for a convertible tablet preferably from people who actually used themIt will be used for work (I am in sales).RIght now I hesitate between: -acer c300:I have Extreme doubts as per its capacity to run current 3d games (I travel a lot for my work and I enjoy unwinding in front of a game in the evening)+there seem to be an issue with the screen which does not have any latches=>the screen seem to rotate by himself -acer c110:the very small longevity of the battery is a problem+like the c300 I have doubts about 3d game capacity -hp TC1100 (1ghz):the key board seem unusable+the fact that the screen moves when you type is a big problem. However it seems to have 3d capacities (am I right ???) -toshiba m200:only 256 meg of ram seem small+screen resolution may be too low+some poor comment about keyboard usability. But it seems to have 3d capacities. Please help me because here in paris france you basically cannot SEE them and try them. You have to mail order. To make a recap: -I use the keeboard 80% of the time -battery life is important -if possible the ability to play 3d games would be great!! Last but not least it is not clear to me which one come with the full window PC (I mean the cds from microsoft).I know they come with recovery cd but I my past experience those do not work so well.I prefer to have the real windows cd in order to be able to do a full reinstall Thanks in advance |

| Hi, Thank you for registering and asking your questions. Choosing the best tablet for your needs is not always straight forward. On Monday, you will see an announcement for a new and faster Acer. This will be available in June or later - depending upon your area of purchase. This might be a good one to consider but I would suggest the Toshiba for a few reasons. (1) The Toshiba M200 has by far the best screen resolution. (2) RAM expansion. Simply add the most amount of RAM that you can afford and you'd have a winner for your needs. Go for 1 GB as a minimum. (3) Since you are thinking of using the keyboard then the convertibles are the best way to go (versus a slate). Hope this helps. Maybe LinuxMon will help you too. He owns the Toshiba and can give you some pointers. Check out the Toshiba forum because he is the moderator in it. Good luck and keep us posted on your thoughts and decisions. Note: I've moved your thread to "Getting Started" since others will probably be interested too.
