How to Hide Tablet PC INput Panel Icon from taskbar

I’d like to remove the icon for “Tablet PC Input Panel” from my taskbar.

Microsoft’s instructions for removing it indicate that I should go to the control panel (new format), click on Printers and Other Hardware, and click on the control panel icon for tablet.

But my IT Nazis have gutted my control panel, and I can’t seem to get to the necessary control panel item.

Can somebody send me the registry keys necessary to get that precious task bar space back?
