Question about Digital Ink

Do all applications work in handwritting mode or do they have to be specially programmed to accept that type of input? If they have to be specifically designed for handwritting are there programs that can piggy-back on top of an application to accept handwritting input on its behalf?

Specifically, I was wondering if I will be able to use the handwritting features in MS Money.

thanks for your help!

Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes the Tablet PC Edition 2005. The Tablet PC Input Panel (TIP) has been redesigned so that it can be either docked or float. This allows input into a program. Specifically I tried to download the trial version of Microsoft Money 2005 to see if it would work on this Tablet PC. The program wanted my banking information from the get go as well as .NET information so I backed off for the weekend to think about security.

I finally started up the program and was able to enter information with the pen. I didn't use it very much but was convinced that it was okay.

Hope this helps.
