Question Cannot find replacement pen for M275

Greetings!

My employer gave me a brand new M275 to use at work. However, the pen has disappeared.. Gateway has no stock.. They referred me to Mundo who sells replacement parts for Gateway's that are discontinued. They have no stock.

Can someone recommend a pen to use with this tablet.. After some searching it appears the Gateway digitizer won't accept third party solutions.. Is this correct?

I would settle for a pen that doesn't fit in the silo. I just want a pen.

Thanks!

kregar

Ouch. Looks like Gateway website says there is no ETA for the pen.

You are correct that the wacom pens and palm stylus will not work with the M275. Hopefully someone here knows of another place.

Did Gateway state they will be restocking ? I suggest that you call again.

No dates have been provided by either Gateway or Mundo. Mundo referred me back to Gateway and Gateway sent me to Mundo..

Geesh..

The M275 user guide page 176 says their it is a Wacom digitizer.

you should be able to use the Wacom replacement pens.

Good catch! The M275 was the last Gateway to use a Wacom digitizer.

Thanks. I thought that it did not use the Wacom digitizer.. I thought it was some sort of wierd Gateway thing..

Awesome!

Thank you so much! It has stunk using this thing as only a laptop.. Kind of dimmed my excitement in getting it.

Re: Cannot find replacement pen for M275

This reply may no longer be of any use, but I have an m275 and my friend has some Toshiba and his pen works on my tablet. The eraser works as well! Don't know if thats any help though.

You can also get styluses off ebay.
