Corey Murray, Senior Editor, eSchool News comments about the recent U.S. Supreme Court opinion that schools, businesses and other entities must archive eMail, instant messages, and other digital communications written by their employees. I remember public employees, including teachers, considering name, date, time, purpose manual recording of telephone calls as a hassle worthy of union complaints. These newly required archives may ease the manual record hassle complaints. Do these new archives include lessons using Tablet PCs and Ultra Mobile PCs? I wonder when a case will result in schools having to archive student electronic communications also, including those related to lessons?
