Hatboro-Horsham School District has been awarded a $278,126 grant from the state Department of Education as part of its “Classrooms for the Future” initiative, which was designed to promote the integration of technology into high school classrooms.

Hatboro-Horsham Director of Educational Technology Susan Casagrand said, “Since students have become accustomed to a certain level of technology, we as educators must look at how we can transform our teaching practices to fully utilize these tools ... I think the fact that we have experimented with new technology and have pockets of new technology in our schools positioned us to be a contender (bold added) for this grant ...”

Kudos to educators at this school. Their initiative is about school reform, not technology. Their vision takes them into a 12-14 month reorganization, so Hatboro-Horsham High School can be the number one comprehensive high school in Pennsylvania.
