Neek Talkers offer an insightful description about Day One at CES 2007. It's worth reading. They used a TabletKiosk eo V7110 UMPC to post this Neek Talk blog. Last year they used an HP Tablet PC TC1100.

They explain what they did to obtain their press passes, being interviewed by other reporters, and critique the keynote address.

They offer suggestions to make this show more to their liking. Since they represent the major electronics market with disposable income, show speakers, equipment manufacturers, software publishers, and operators might find it beneficial to consider what these teens have to say.

Teachers may want to point students to this post as an example of professional initiative and performance by teens. Two of these teens first participated as online reporters at Mac World and at Linux shows seven years ago.

As teachers, we each probably know students, regardless of age, who could also use mobile PCs to report their observations online about important technical, political, and entertaining events.

Maybe someone will point to links to an online (maybe pen-based?) elementary or high school journalism/communications program for youth, so more of us can encourage other youth to follow the Neek Talk lead.
