| problem developing with Cintiq 12 & Microsoft.ink Hello, I'm trying to develop software in C# using Cintiq 12. I want to use the pen as a 3D pointer. I have seen that TabletPC SDK is needed (which includes Microsoft.ink). The problem is that Microsoft.ink detects the tablet like a mouse and only recognize the X Y information. (The package length is 2) The tablet works perfect with Photoshop (high resolution XY, pressure and tilt) but I cant obtain the same information when I try to develop software. Reading some posts I've found on internet (via Google) I have read that Virtual HID Driver is needed, but it's only released by wacom in driver version "PenTablet_495-6.exe" or lower. Cintiq uses version 6.05-7(last version released) and I don't want to downgrade it. Could I obtain the Virtual HID Driver in some other way? Is this driver the cause of my problem? or is there another solution? Exists an alternative to Microsoft.ink? I also have read about Wintab in some post, but this solution is written in C++, not C#.NET Thanks Tablet:Wacom Cintiq 12wx O.S.:Windows XP SP2 Dev Soft: Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 v8.0.50727.42 Platform: Microsoft .Net Framework v2.0.50727 |

I have read in Wacom's forum http://www.wacom-europe.com/forum/default.asp?lang=en that Wacom has removed support for / detection of the Tablet-PC SDK upon explicit request by Microsoft. I suppose this is in order to *prevent* people from using the Tablet-PC SDK the way you intend to do. Microsoft want's you to migrate from XP to Vista, that is. (That wouldn't be too bad if only Vista worked as well as XP does.) > or is there another solution? Buy Vista, perhaps? (But it must be a version of Vista better than Vista Home Basic.) |
