Jim Allchin sets straight what he meant in a now-public email in which he said he would have purchased a Mac if he didn't work for Microsoft. He says he was being dramatic as a way to influence the future direction of Vista.
Actually Jim, I think the Mac is a great system to run Vista on (or XP if you like). I do. It runs Windows really well using Bootcamp. I sometimes flip over to OS X to check out a web page in Safari or to use iMovie or GarageBand, but for the most part I stay in Windows on my Mac system. Several of the people I know that have purchased Macs in the last six months or so are doing something similar.
