In all the excitement about Windows Vista being released to manufacturers, I've noticed an increase in people also writing about the mobility features in Windows Vista, particularly Tablet PC and UMPC features. I've read a few comments about Tablet PC being in Enterprise and Business SKU only or some combination. Point being, there is a bit of confusion out there about the various editions of Windows Vista.
Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate SKUs include Tablet PC features.
Here are a couple of other ways this can be stated:
- Tablet PC features are in all Premium SKUs.
- Tablet PC features are in all Windows Vista SKUs, except for Home Basic and Starter Editions.
Of course, the advanced handwriting recognition is only a portion of the mobility features in Windows Vista -- it also happens to be one of my favorite features. :)
