Morning sessions at Mobile Connections Conference Loren wrote about this morning's sessions: I'm sitting in the UMPC Lifestyle talk at Mobile Connections right now. It's being presented jointly by Microsoft and Intel. Todd, from Microsoft, is going through the basic features of UMPCs. He also presented a couple cool demos. One was an early prototype of a new math app that is being developed by Wolfram Research (developers of Mathematica). The new app is a graphing calculator app that supports handwritten math equations that can be recognized and rendered in 3D. Todd also walked through a map app built around the Virtual Earth API that's tuned for the UMPC--by providing large targets, gestures for navigation, and ink annotation.
