 A Yahoo-branded UMPC? Digital World Tokyo describes the joint effort being put forth by Intel and Yahoo to build a better UMPC. The prototype, which the article says is to be manufactured by Quanta, is being designed by Intel and augmented with Yahoo's mobile entertainment technology. The prototype was shown on Monday at Intel's Developer Forum (IDF) in Taipei. According to the article the UMPC will run the Tablet PC OS. Now I'm not quite sure how all the branding will work out or who is actually going to be selling the unit, but it is kind of fun wondering if this will be a Yahoo UMPC. That sure would be wild.
