Just before the holidays,
InkGestures 1.3 was released. This version is for Office 2003 and includes bug fixes:
- Added a tab gesture (down and to the right).
- Added a space gesture (up and to the right).
- Added gesture to move the current position one character to the left: draw a horizontal line from right to left and then back to the starting point without lifting the pen.
- Added a gesture to move the current position one character to the right: draw a horizontal line from left to right and then back to the starting point without lifting the pen.
- Quotes and apostrophes are inserted curved by default now.
- Added checkbox in InkGestures Options Window to select whether quotes and apostrophes are inserted curved or straight.
- When Show Feedback option is enabled, only show a tap gesture if a selection exists and the user taps outside of the selection.
- Fixed: Insert a space sets current position one character too far to the right.
- Added support for appending text. When appending text, use the insert gesture and prefix the text to append with a dash. This is particularly useful when appending an apostrophe or quote symbol.
- When right clicking with pen, recognition is now disabled so that you can move the current selection more easily.
- Improved recognition of "em" for an em dash.
- Fixed: With the Tablet PC SDK 1.7 it is possible for an error to occur during recognition.
- Modified Help window to display last gesture used, even if the window was not previously displayed.
- Fixed: Help window was incorrectly stating that gestures were disabled if an insert gesture was drawn without any text.
